Event description

Basket weaving is a ubiquitous art found in several cultures, and made with as many materials as you can think of. Join us and discover the basic functions of basket weaving and create your won mini basket.

What is Folk Art?
The definition of folk art varies, but most descriptions offer a common set of criteria: It has either a utilitarian or decorative function, it is reflective of the culture from which it originated, and can be self-taught or taught informally. By making folk art we can learn international history, deepen our sense of self-identity, and create bridges with those from differing cultures.
