Event description

May 5th is a normal day here in our hometown, but in Japan it's a special holiday known as Children's Day. Celebrate and create your own fish windsock, and learn about the fun traditions of Children's Day.

What is Folk Art?
The definition of folk art varies, but most descriptions offer a common set of criteria: It has either a utilitarian or decorative function, it is reflective of the culture from which it originated, and can be self-taught or taught informally. By making folk art we can learn international history, deepen our sense of self-identity, and create bridges with those from differing cultures.
