Sawasdee! Experience Thai culture through food samples like green curry, spring rolls, and coconut sweet treats. Thai music, food history, and fashion will be showcased. Explore the art of shadow puppetry through a reading and performance of Mela and the Elephant and try your hand at making a shadow puppet, tinfoil art, and paper flower bracelets. Finish off the afternoon by taking the challenge of the Thai Escape Room AND the Durian Smell and Taste Test Challenge!
This event is in inspired by the Lakeshore Middle Read book A Wish in the Dark by Christina Soontornvat who will be coming to Muskegon March 26th. Hosted by MADL with our community partners: West Michigan Asian Association and the Culinary Institute of Michigan.
